POSTLUDE: A Photosonic Mass
Scroll ↓
POSTLUDE was a choral concert that explored themes of ritual, embodiment, and musical assemblage by combining different settings of the Latin mass by Satie, Rautavaara, Pärt, Snider, Byrd, and Bray. Featuring lighting design by Alex Christie and original electronic interludes by IU-South Bend's Audio Visual Collective, POSTLUDE offered a secular reimagining of the mass liturgy created specifically for the LaBar Performance Hall at the O'Neill Hall of Music at Notre Dame. This recital was also part of the Performing Media Festival, an annual showcase of audio-visual performance works hosted by the South Bend Museum of Art, Indiana University-South Bend, and LangLab.
